Dani Stahle

Dani's whimsical and thought provoking sculptural pieces mimic life and draw the viewer into her imaginative world of colour, movement and play. They are made with recycled and found materials such as cotton T's, lace doilies, leather, and are created with water resistant acrylic that is non toxic and environmentally friendly. Can be placed inside or outside.

Each piece is created individually and each journey tells it's own story. She loves to encourage others by teaching workshops. She is an Expressive Arts Graduate and Multidisciplinary artist who combines her skills and incorporates them into unusual and distinctive artistic expressions. Her playful nature crosses over to other forms of artistic expression. Her current interests are photography, mandalas and labyrinths. Her ongoing interests are drumming and percussion, vocables and creating art using hard shelled gourds.

Currently Dani is teaching workshops at Earth Tones Studio in Haliburton, Ontario. In her one day workshop participants will personally create a beautiful, environmentally friendly sculpture for display.

Fabric Sculpture Workshop The workshop is a full day and all materials are provided. We will begin the workshop with assembling what you will need throughout the day. Then you will begin by making your armature and wrap it with foil. After you have achieved the shape of your figure, the next step will be “mummy wrapping” the armature with recycled cotton T's and Powertex. The last step is the draping or dressing of your creation.

Fabric sculpting medium can be purchased in half-litre, one-litre or five-litre containers in the following colours: transparent, bronze, lead, terra cotta, and ivory. We also carry accessories to enhance the look of your fabric sculpture. For workshop dates or a complete product list and prices call or email.
